Hello and welcome to Casa Novo.
My name is Matthew, and together with my partner Sarah, we are the founders of Casa Novo.
Why Casa Novo?
The Portuguese word for “House” is “Casa” and the word for “New” is “Novo”.
Casa Novo exists to make the journey of building your first home less daunting and overwhelming. Our goal is to share lessons, insights and practical tools so that building your new home is a positive and enjoyable experience.
When we embarked on the project of creating our family home back in 2019, we didn’t realise the magnitude of the task at hand. We wanted to share our journey, learnings and opinions to help you navigate your own project.
We are not architects, designers or decorators. Neither of us work in the field of residential construction, nor do we have attachments to anyone or any company in the industry.
What we do have is passion, a strong technical background, a balanced approach to form, function and cost, as well as professional experience in managing projects and people.
Casa Novo is our gift to you. We will continue to share informed, practical knowledge so that you can learn, be enlightened, or at the very least be entertained.
